Amazing freshly roasted coffee and a speedy service. The smell when you open the bag is something else. It’s the best decaf coffee if you’re trying to cut out caffeine but still want an awesome coffee taste!
Sidekick is my go to for family and visitors. I am caffeine free and stay with the Decaf Co decaffeinated blends for myself. My sister in law especially likes Sidekick and even more so when I make it for her. Was so pleased to be able to purchase a caffeinated option from my fav bean roaster.
I bought this for my own Sidekick - my hubby - and I gave it a try, too. Along with my thoughts on the decaf blend I bought for myself, this was also too dark and bitter. I think the master roaster must like bitter coffee. Hubby, who is a barista, ran it though our ECM machine at different settings to try to get the best out of it, but nothing he tried could escape the base flavour of this. So, unfortunately, along with my decaf, we won't be buying it again.
Appreciate your input Bec! It's funny because we just received a review on another option of the customer saying it's roasted too light! We can't win haha! Coffee/Decaf is completely subjective so there's no right or wrong, your too dark is someone elses too light.
Bought it for my partner as he wants ‘real’ coffee and he really likes it ☺️
