Tasting Notes:

Notes of creamy milk chocolate, moving into some serious sweetness like panela and a gentle Dried Apricot aftertaste.

Roasters thoughts:

"You can see above, a selection for either Espresso or Filter roasts, we are now roasting this two ways because it's just so good. So our friends who drink pour over or filter style brews, we've got you covered!
Our Colombian coffee suppliers are growing this coffee, which in itself is a high scoring specialty coffee, it is then sent to a facility in Colombia to be decaffeinated. We love the fact we've got full traceability on this coffee. Did I mention, it tastes ridiculously good!!!!”

The Coffee:

This coffee comes from smallholders from Planadas and Canon de las Hermosas region. Coffees from selected growers are cupped and analyzed individually in order to only use the best lots for this blend (coffees 85+). Afterward these coffees are blended, milled in Bogota, and transported to DESCAFECOL where caffeine is removed from coffee using sugarcane decaffination process This decaffeination process enhances sweetness while maintaining the integrity of flavor.

Decaf Filter Coffee that doesn't taste like Decaf!

Really enjoying this for our daily afternoon coffee in the office. We use a clever dripper for office simplicity and a c40 grinder. 30 grams to 500ml shared between me and my mate. This one has no obvious decaf flavour which is the first thing I look for with filter/black coffee (let's face it - milk coffee masks anything!). But beyond that, it's also a great tasting brew which we look forward to every day.

Best Filter Roast Decaf

Ok, I had given up on finding a good filter roast decaf - I thought it just didn't exist! But this stuff is incredible....

Colombian Cordillera sugar cane roasted . Decaf.

This decaf is my favourite of all. I initially tried the variety sample pack and now I have found the one I truly love.
It has a mellow sweetness to it and is very flavourful and full bodied . No sharpness but almost like a dessert .it could be the method of the sugar cane and it really is delicious and has a slight glowing hue in the cup . I really love this one .Its delicious.

Yum!

I love the toffee overtones to the delicious, creamy coffee!

Ethyl Acetate

Ethyl Acetate is a naturally occurring compound, often derived from sugar cane molasses fermentation. While its name may sound intimidating, it’s simply a combination of ethanol (alcohol) and acetic acid (the primary acid in vinegar)—both natural and food-safe. Ethyl Acetate is also found in everyday fruits like apples and pears.
