This coffee won a silver medal in the world's largest coffee roasting competition Golden Bean 2024. We were super excited to win this, in all honesty we kinda knew this was going to win something because it's tastes so dang good!
Tasting Notes:
Delightful soft acidity and a smooth texture characterize this coffee. Enjoy hints of caramel and brown sugar, with notes of dried dates, red berries, and nutmeg providing a delightful finish.

The Coffee:
On a 250km route from Oaxaca city towards the Pacific Coast, you'll find the renowned coffee region, Pluma. Old, extinct volcanoes dot the landscape, contributing to the fertile volcanic soil ideal for coffee cultivation.
The region's humid climate, coupled with significant rainfall, nurtures the coffee plants. Thankfully, during coffee harvest, the weather remains predominantly dry.
Traditional varieties, including Pluma Hidalgo, Arabica Tipica, and Bourbon, are still grown in this region. Smaller farms with efficient washing and sun drying facilities are common. It's customary for farmers here to thoroughly sort their coffee during the wet milling process, which results in beautifully processed parchment coffee.
From January to March, the main harvest season, the coffee beans are sun-dried, enhancing the coffee's flavour. The region is known for its low production per hectare, typically producing only four bags on average.

I've tried so many decaf but they all leave a bitter aftertaste and enough caffeine that my sleep is affected. So I was so happy to have found this brand with no harsh chemicals involved and 99.9% no caffeine! I opted for the highest rated and have not looked back. It is so smooth and delicious even without milk! Thank you, I am very impressed.
This is a brilliant, quality product. Full bodied, smooth, delicious and the flavour remains constant from start to finish. I have tried it with full cream unhomogenized cow, A2 cow and soy milks and my barista son (NOT easily impressed) enjoyed a couple black, whilst dialing it in for me (and a sneaky couple afterwards as well). I was not happy about having to vastly reduce both caffeine AND dairy and having to leave behind the quality single origins we've been enjoying. BUT I tried Decaf Co just on the off chance it would provide me with a perfect alternative. And it has. I love that it's organic; that it's non-chemically decaffeinated; that it tastes so good and that it's roasted and sent so fresh, ensuring gas off time and a perfectly timed coffee from roast date to cup in a few days of receiving it. I'm working my way through the organic range at present, but this was my first, and so far favourite, delightful bean. You have saved me from a coffee-less existence - decaffeinated perfection in a cup. Thank you.
I can't believe how good this tastes! I have a caffeinated coffee each morning so I'm reminded of how good standard coffee tastes each day. I don't have caffeine after 1pm, I just made do with teas and Chai for the rest of the day. Now I get to enjoy a cup or two of decaf each afternoon. No bitterness or chemical aftertaste and it smells fabulous, in the bag and brewing. The taste is really, really good. I love it. You guys have hit a winning formula with this. I will be back for more.
I love the Decaf Co coffee. I wanted to give up caffine, but I didn't want to drink something manipulated by chemicals. Having European heritage and growing up in Melbourne, I also didn't want to give up my morning ritual of a freshly brewed coffee. I'm so grateful for discovering Decaf Co. Now I can enjoy every morning with a full flavoured coffee but without the caffeinated side effects. The coffee was roasted the day before it arrived at my front door. So fresh! Smells amazing!
Side note: it took about a week to get off the caffeine and I am shocked at the withdrawals .I had headaches and was super tired. But now I feel amazing!!
Full of flavour and it's decaf. Great to drink at night.
